Empowering You Through Practical Learning
Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College (DIMPC), formerly known as Datu Paglas Educational Development (DPED), is a private educational institution founded in the municipality of Datu Paglas, Maguindanao. It was established to provide accessible higher education to the Bangsamoro people—Muslims, Christians, and Indigenous cultural communities.
The college was the result of community efforts led by Mr. Abdula Maguid Tangkli and other local leaders and educators. After several consultations and setbacks due to regional instability, the institution officially opened in June 2002, offering its first four degree programs in Agriculture, Business Administration, and Education. It is duly recognized by CHED, TESDA, and the SEC.
Over the years, DIMPC expanded to include pre-elementary programs, computer science, and TESDA-accredited technical-vocational training. The main campus spans three hectares in Datu Paglas, Maguindanao, strategically located along the national highway connecting Tacurong and Davao.
The college has forged partnerships with both local and international organizations, including LGUs, TESDA, CHED, DepEd, USAID, and private donors, to enhance its academic and community services.
Guided by the legacy of service and excellence, DIMPC continues its mission under the leadership of its current president, Datu Mohammed Youssef Paglas, upholding the community’s motto:
“Bawal ang Tamad sa Datu Paglas.”
